I fell into the Anacostia River on Saturday... do you think I should go see a doctor or something...?One of the biggest problems facing the Anacostia River is raw sewage that enters the river and its tributaries due to antiquated sewer systems. The sewage creates a public health threat due to fecal coliform bacteria and other pathogens; it also impairs water quality and can create hypoxic conditions that lead to large fish kills.

I read your first sentence and it made me cringe. I'm so sorry you had to experience something that disgusting. But isn't stuff like that supposed to make your immune system even stronger? That's what I tell myself when Little Man eats/drinks/swims in something nasty.
Now that's just plain NASTY! I can't believe I talked to you on Sunday! Ugh. Had I known... just kidding. But yeah, if you had any open sores you should see a doctor and go through detox!
Oh no! This is bad, very bad! How do I check for hypoxic conditions? Has anyone noticed a lot of dead large fish???
